Juicy, bright, and often bittersweet, this is poetry for people who long to be moved.

Writing with Joy was every bit as wonderful as I hoped it would be. She paired instruction with practice so beautifully, and the workshop felt equal parts informative and productive. She radiated warmth and humanity throughout, making each participant feel seen and heard. Joy shows you how every moment can be a poem, and every writer a poet. 10/10 would recommend her workshops.

Joy’s class helped remind me that writing poetry is a way to become more intimate with my own humanity. And, while that's a deep assignment, it can be done with ease, tenderness, and embodiment.
